Abstract:

TiO₂ has been known to have many applications, such as antibacterial, antireflection, antiglare, antifingerprint, anticorrosion, and destruction of various organic compounds. Various methods, such as CVD, PVD, and sol-gel technique, have been used to fabricate thin film. Among them, sol gel method is one of the be best methods to synthesize thin film. In this report, three methods, i.e., acid hydrolysis, peroxo sol-gel route and alcoholysis, to make TiO2 sols will be reported. The preparation methods to fabricate TiO₂ thin film and its characterization methods and applications will also be presented.
